    Meet The Doctor

    Scott A. Smith, DDS

    Born and raised in the Central Valley, Dr. Scott A. Smith graduated from Merced High School in 1975.
    He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1987. Dr. Smith also received a post graduate degree and Certificate of Periodontology from the University of California, San Francisco in 1989.
    Dr. Smith began his Merced practice in 1989 and in 1999 acquired the Turlock office. He is the proud father to a son and daughter, and married to his wife Justi. Dr. Smith is active in his community, he is currently an active member of Rotary International and with Merced's Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the American Academy of Periodontology.as well as current member and past president of The Yosemite Dental Society.

    His practice focuses on clinical therapy but he continues to be involved in ongoing research assignments.He participates in study groups with local dentists, and also attends continuing education lectures and seminars on new techniques on periodontal therapy and new products and materials.
